Steve Bergstrom - Wake County School Board (District 8)

Steve Bergstrom is a father of four, veteran of the U.S. Air Force and Captain for a major U.S. airline. He brings the experience and leadership to return Wake schools to parents, give resources to teachers, and make quality education the hallmark of our County.

Irina Comer - Wake County Board of Commissioners (Countywide)

A first-generation immigrant from Russia, a professional businesswoman of nearly 20 years, and a political outsider, Irina is running for Commission to restore freedom to Wake County residents, to protect our children from bureaucratic overreach, to reaffirm limited government, and to reduce taxes on working families. Ned Mangum - NC District Court Judge (10D Seat 3)

Judge Mangum has served as a Wake County district court judge since 2008. He served as Wake County district attorney from April 2014 to December 2014 before returning to the Wake County District Court bench. Before that, he worked as a Wake County assistant district attorney for 10 years.

Asia Prince - NC District Court Judge (10F Seat 1)

Donnie Harrison - Wake County Sheriff

Donnie Harrison was first elected Sheriff of Wake County in 2002, was reelected to a second term in 2006, third term in 2010 and fourth term in 2014. Harrison was the first certified law enforcement officer to be elected Sheriff in Wake County. Before serving Wake County as its Sheriff, Harrison served on the North Carolina Highway Patrol in Wake County for 26 years.

Jeffrey Dobson - Wake County DA

Jeff Dobson is the founder of Dobson Law Firm, PLLC, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. He focuses his practice mainly on criminal defense, family law and law enforcement liability.

Jeff decided to go to law school and obtained his Juris Doctor from the Campbell University Law School after his retirement from the military where he served in Afghanistan and Iraq. After which, he worked as an Assistant District Attorney intern at the Lee County District Attorney's Office and the Wake County District Attorney's Office. He also served as a law clerk at a prominent law firm.

Richard Dietz - NC Supreme Court (Seat 3)

He joined the Court of Appeals in 2014 and is now the third-most senior judge on the 15-member court. He has heard thousands of appeals in his time as a judge. As a lawyer, he was a renowned appellate expert arguing cases across the country including in the US supreme court.

Judge Richard Dietz brings creative solutions to our justice system. He is fair - he works hard for the people of our state - and he is committed to preserving the blessings of liberty.

Julee Flood - NC Court of Appeals (Seat 8)

Throughout her career, Dr. Flood has gained diverse legal, business, and institutional experience. Julee is in-house counsel and advisor for a multi-state veterinary services business she co-founded with her husband. They are honored to employ over 50 people and strive to offer a great work environment for their team. She also serves as an attorney at the Court of Appeals, currently working for Judge Jeffery K. Carpenter. Julee has amassed extensive court experience, having analyzed and drafted hundreds of judicial opinions for nine appellate judges and justices in federal and state courts. One of Julee’s greatest joys is teaching. She previously taught at Elon Law in a Fellowship and then as Visiting Professor of Law and Director of the Leadership Program. She has also been an adjunct professor at the University of Tennessee’s College of Law and College of Educational Leadership and Policy Studies, and at Duke University’s Paralegal Program.

Donna Stroud - NC Court of Appeals (Seat 9)

Judge Stroud currently serves as Chief Judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She was born and raised in Kinston, NC, and attended Campbell University School of Law, graduating first in her class in 1988. Prior to becoming a judge, Chief Judge Stroud was in private practice from 1988 to 2004. She represented individuals, businesses, and municipalities in a wide variety of cases and tried cases in many counties across the state. In 2004, she was elected as a District Court Judge in Wake County where she served until her election to the Court of Appeals in 2006. Chief Judge Stroud has been an adjunct professor at Campbell Law School since 2008. In 2014, Chief Judge Stroud graduated from Duke University’s School of Law LL.M. program in Judicial Studies.

She and her husband J. Wilson Stroud have been married since 1986 and have two adult sons, Aaron and Isaac.

John Tyson - NC Court of Appeals (Seat 10)

Judge Tyson has been teaching as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law since 1987 and last year at Elon University School of Law. Judge Tyson is a member of both the North Carolina and Virginia State Bars, a Certified Mediator and Arbitrator, is a past Commissioner of the North Carolina Property Tax Commission, and past elected Chairman of both the Cumberland County Joint Planning Board and the Cumberland Soil and Water Conservation District.

Judge Tyson’s over forty years of professional experience includes the private practice of law and senior level corporate real estate development and counsel positions with three national corporations. Judge Tyson is also a frequent continuing legal education author and presenter. Judge Tyson has been married to his wife, Kirby, for 46 years. They are parents of four children and grandparents to four children.

Michael Stading - NC Court of Appeals (Seat 11)

After defending the safety of North Carolina families as a prosecutor in Mecklenburg County, Michael J. Stading swore another oath as a District Court Judge. In 2016, Judge Stading swore an oath to defend the Constitution as a JAG officer in the US Air Force, where he continues to serve as a Captain today.

Michael and his wife are high school sweethearts and very proud parents to three children. They are active members of their church in Matthews, NC. Michael not only serves our country through his commission in the United States Air Force, but also his community through his civilian job on the District Court bench as well as leadership in numerous civic and professional organizations, such as the American Legion.

Jacob Arthur - Wake County School Board (District 7)

Jacob Arthur is a husband, father of four, Navy Veteran and small business owner. The Wake County School Board has lost its way and become unaccountable and fiscally irresponsible. Together, we can involve parents, invest in students and support our teachers, returning Wake County to one of the best school systems in the nation.

James Bledsoe - Raleigh City Council (At-Large)

James Bledsoe, a 17 year Army combat Veteran of Afghanistan & Operation Inherent Resolve, a state employee for nearly a decade, & an avid Constitutionalist. James is bringing first-hand knowledge of leadership, resolve to lower spending & taxes, fully supporting first responders, and reducing regulations in Raleigh so housing and business can grow. James will also be donating half of his council pay to start scholarships for Raleigh students going into the STEM field or the trades.

Wing Ng - Wake County School Board (District 3)

Wing is a first generation Chinese American who owes his success to the American dream and an exceptional public education. Whitney Hill - Raleigh City Council (District A)

Whitney is married, a father of three, a grandfather and has been a long-time resident of North Raleigh. He felt compelled to run because he saw that the people were losing their voice in city government. He operates and owns a web marketing business, which he founded and has been operating for over 25 years. For a long time he was very active in the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce and for two years chaired the CEO Roundtable Program. Whitney is a member in good standing at Triangle Christian Center and in his spare time he enjoys long bike rides on the Raleigh Greenway.

Chanel Harris - Wake County Board of Commissioners (Countywide)

A native of Raleigh, North Carolina, Chanel N. Harris is a graduate of North Carolina HBCU College & University Systems. Stephen Xavier - Wake Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisor

Stephen brings more than 30 years of business leadership experience with him from a local, national and global level. He was instrumental in helping restructure Wake Economic Development during times of upheaval and assisted in the reorganization of that entity that has brought thousands of jobs and billions in revenue to the Triangle. She saw the importance of the voluntary cost-share programs supported by the local Soil & Water Conservation District and participated in numerous educational opportunities sponsored by the District as a student. She attended NC State where she received a BS in animal science and a minor in poultry science. A recognized agricultural leader, she has devoted her career to providing educational opportunities to youth and enhancing NC agriculture and agribusiness. A small farmer herself, she understands the importance of these programs. She has seen the impacts of bad policy versus sound policy, and will use her expertise to make the Board stronger.

Cheryl Caulfield - Wake County School Board (District 1)

Cheryl is a mother of two teen boys in WCPSS for the last 11years, and counting. She has devoted a lot of time to volunteering in the schools, and has seen the struggles our teachers and children face. As a senior underwriter for many years, her ability to analyze, evaluate financial risks and qualifications, as well as working with teams to coordinate the best outcomes for clients, provides her the skills to make solution-based changes with the board. She will serve and support our teachers, our children, and parents to help our children reach their true potential. Cheryl will focus on the fundamentals and believes we need to get back to basics, and give education back to our children.
