My wife, Laura, and I, along with our family, have been residents of Holly Springs since 2011. We have watched in wonder at how Holly Springs has changed and developed. We moved to North Carolina with the U.S. Army. After returning from multiple years of deployments, I was stationed at Fort Bragg. After conducting research regarding the possible areas to live, we were drawn to Holly Springs for its unique and welcoming feel, its highly ranked schools, its potential for growth and all the recreational opportunities. Since 2011, our boys have attended the local public schools and are engaged in local sports and local events like the Happy Holly Days Christmas Parade.
I served over 30 years in the Armed Forces. I enlisted in 1987 and due to a non-combat related injury, retired in March 2018. My retired grade is Colonel. While in the Army, I commanded at the task force, battalion and company levels and served in four-star commands and at the Pentagon. Specific experience includes base camp management, development, design, and growth. Base camps are small to medium size small cities. We love living in Holly Springs and calling it home.
As a steward for the people of Holly Springs, I will work to give back to our town and community. I am currently the Chair of The Town of Holly Springs Board of Adjustment, having served on the board since 2018. This Board conducts public hearings and renders rulings on variances from the Town’s regulations, appeals to zoning decisions made by Development Services Staff and appeals of determination made by the Environmental Appeal Committee. I have also served on my subdivision’s HOA Board as President and member at large with my term ending this year.
