Chairman's Remarks

David Robinson

Chairman

The 2008 election seems to be the perfect time to bring back the Wake GOP Newsletter.  We hope this tool will empower you, the foundation of our party, to elect conservative, principled men and women to public office.  Prior to becoming your chairman, I was a precinct chair, a district chair, a fundraising chair, and a volunteer on numerous campaigns.  I understand that you need up-to-date campaign event and candidate information – voters are looking to you for advice and guidance.  Thus, this newsletter.

I am grateful to the officers and editorial staff of this publication.  Like everyone else in a leadership role in the Wake GOP, they are volunteers.  And, their efforts are much appreciated.

This will be an exciting campaign season.  There is either a Republican incumbent or a Republican challenger in all but one of the partisan ballot races this fall.  And, this is among the hardest-working group of candidates I have ever seen.  Our Republican Party platform has answers to the pressing issues of this election season – and I am confident that we will have much electoral success in November.

We hope you’ll join this noble cause with your time, talents and financial support.  Together, we are a winning team.  And, of course, I do not have to remind you of the monumental significance of this election, at every level of government.  These next few months you and I will have an opportunity to shape the future for our children and their children.  Thank you in advance for stepping up to the plate to help our Republican team this year.

David Robinson, Chairman, Wake GOP
