My wife and I have lived in Wake County for the past 13 years, and the last seven years in Morrisville. We have really enjoyed living here, due in a large part to the hospitality and family-friendly atmosphere of Morrisville. With the extension of 540 and the Town Center taking shape, Morrisville will look quite different in the next five to 10 years. I'd like to help the town manage this growth so that we can maximize the economic opportunities, honor the town's rich past, and provide the residents and businesses of Morrisville with a town they will truly be proud of.
I think the town center design will help relieve some of the traffic congestion in town. As far as the areas outside the town center, we need to continue to work with our neighbors in Cary, Apex and Durham to coordinate plans and anticipate issues that come with increased development and road construction.
I think Morrisville should continue to develop a town center. In general, I like what has been proposed on the town's Web site, www.ci.morrisville.nc.us.
