Information for Candidates

How to Become a Candidate for Office

Would you like to run for office, but don\'t know where to start? Your local Republican Party is the place to begin. We can advise you on which office to consider and provide guidance and support on running your campaign. Contact our Party Chairman.

Procedure for Endorsement

Republican candidates for local offices can now be officially endorsed by the local Party. Contact us as soon as possible!

Registered Republicans running for local office, such as school board or city council, that would like to be considered for endorsement by the Republican Party of Wake County should contact our County Chairman.

Endorsement Policy. If more than one Republican candidate is running for an office, the Committee has the option to endorse both candidates. Likewise, the Committee may choose not to endorse anyone. Please contact us as soon as possible, at least forty-five days prior to the election.
